Greek philosophy regards ‘poiesis’ as learning by making or doing, where the process of creation reveals an unexpected awakening.

The Elements Kit is an immersive experience of tools and activities that help you navigate through a journey of self-discovery.

Chances are you’ve taken personality tests like the Myers-Briggs or Gallup Clifton Strengths. Based on your survey responses, these powerful systems auto-generate a categorised test result that reflects your personal characteristics.

The Elements Kit is different - in how it works, and also how you interact with it to ultimately learn by ‘making’ or ‘doing.’

Rather than a specific classification from a subset of 16 ‘types’ or 34 ‘strengths’, The Elements Kit helps you identify a creative identity that’s as unique as your fingerprint.

The kit draws on archetypes - a relatable, pictorial language that ‘tells a thousand words.’ Archetypes offer powerful insight because they conjure an entire world of behaviours in a single word. They show how our creativity animates our human experience. They are relatable and memorable.

There’s a natural ease when relating to archetypes, and the archetypes of others. You can draw on this recall daily, to observe how your Creative Archetypes and Shadow Archetypes influence your behaviour and choices.

While INTP and ENFJ may be long forgotten after a Myers-Briggs session, archetypal patterns resonate with clarity.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”

The Elements Kit combines archetypes with the rich insights of human-centred design (HCD), to help you unpack, arrange and make sense of the archetypal components of your unique identity. It's a personal process of observation and reflection.

The quest is to sharpen your senses to your own life experiences and decode past patterns to ultimately design your future.

It’s been a pleasure developing the kit over many years, creating multiple prototypes by hand and testing with people of all ages. Then iterating the design over and over, based on what I learned from each person’s tactile encounter.

It’s always curious watching people use their hands, hearts and minds, deeply immersed in the kit. Most significantly, I tested the kit with my 80 year old parents, an age group I’d never considered a primary audience.

The kit was a conversation tool that gave my parents powerful clarity as they softened into nostalgic retrospection and reflected on the myriad roles they’ve both played during their life.

While the digital version of the kit makes it accessible for anyone to explore online, I was determined to make a physical version of the kit because when we engage our hands, it somehow touches us in new ways.

The Elements Kit is a unique, immersive experience that allows you to navigate and choose, based on what’s most evident in your life, or important to you. It’s easy, fun and insightful.

And once you see these patterns, the wisdom endures.

It’s a genuine gift for life.
